Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronologically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness and sore shoulders, although these places on our body are not exclusive to problems. Deep tissue massage, as it suggests, works on a deeper level than traditional massage and is able to work in the deeper layers of the muscle.
